The Right Size

With over 300 staff in Australia and Singapore we are a ‘right size’ business – not too big, and not too small. As a result our business model is good for clients, and good for staff. Since our foundation in the early 1950s, we have grown and diversified. From our origins as a structural engineering practice in Melbourne, we now have seven offices across the east coast of Australia and an office in Singapore. We provide a full range of civil, structural and environmental engineering solutions (in all offices) as well as town planning and surveying from our Melbourne and Sydney offices.

Our senior managers are hands on practitioners and take a direct interest in every project.  At Brown Consulting our senior managers work both on and in the business.

Staff are mentored by experienced practitioners and work on a diverse range of projects. Rather than being a ‘number’ in a large firm, Brown people are recognised for their contribution.
