Brown Consulting's Sydney office is seeking to appoint a Senior civil Engineer/Project Manager to join our award winning Urban Development team. This is a strategic role supporting the Manager – Project Delivery, and it is expected you will take a leading role within the company. 

Your role will primarily focus on managing and directing land development projects. You will liaise with clients, contractors and local authorities to oversee all contract documentation. You will take a technical lead role on projects, and supervise a team of engineers, designers, site supervisors and external sub-contractors. This role will also involve you taking on site superintendent duties for small to medium sized projects.

To be successful in this role, you will have;

• Bachelor degree in Engineering (Civil) or equivalent


• Minimum 10 years’ experience in civil engineering and/or project management on urban development projects


• Demonstrated expertise in a broad scope of urban projects – residential subdivisions, rural, high-rise, mixed use, etc


• Excellent civil design and documentation capabilities


• Previous experience in contracts administration and contract management


• Proven ability to lead design teams and negotiate effective outcomes.


• Local experience is preferred
