Graduate Employment

As a graduate engineer, we offer you the benefits of working in a progressive and growing consulting firm on a broad range of interesting projects. We have a team-based collaborative approach which means that you are involved and recognized for your contribution.

The Graduate Program is a two-year placement designed to focus on your development by equipping you with a wide variety of industry leading skills and experiences. As a Graduate you will be placed in an area that is aligned to your specific development needs, with many opportunities to excel on a range of Engineering related projects and activities.

Our Graduate are assigned a mentor that will regularly catch up with you and assess how you are progressing and whether any additional support, guidance or training is required, as well as assist you in important career decisions and provide support in the transition from university to working life.

Benefits to Graduates

As well as competitive employment package, Graduates have the opportunity to partake in the following training and development over a two year period:

• Technical training (i.e. design and drafting using the latest software and development programs.)

• Management Skills – How to manage projects effectively.

• Personal Effectiveness –Opportunity to further develop and learn on the job skills such as; time management and business management skills.

• Internal and external training programs as required to enhance and further develop their technical and soft skills.

On successful completion of your Graduate Development Program, you will be offered an engineering position with Brown Consulting in your field of interest and the opportunity to enter a professional development Program, such as the Engineers Australia Charted Program.

While we have a focus on career development and achievement, we also provide a friendly work environment with a range of social activities that are arranged by our active social clubs.

Meet Our Team

Josh Stone, Engineer, Brisbane In 2004 Josh Stone was one of the first to be accepted into the Brown Consulting internship program. During the fourth year of his combined Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Engineering degree, Josh was already working part time at Brown Consulting so he was a natural candidate to apply for the internship.
