Ballina Bypass

Brown Consulting prepared the Flood Assessment of the impacts of the amended arrangement of the Bruxner Highway and Teven Road interchanges on the Richmond River catchment and its tributaries to the north. The study area covers the Pacific Highway from the existing intersection with the Bruxner Highway to the existing Teven Road intersection.

Wet ‘n’ Wild Theme Park

Village Roadshow are in the process of developing a new Wet ‘n’ Wild theme park in western Sydney. As a high value project the development application went via the Part 3A process to the planning minister rather than to the local council.

Brown Consulting’s Water & Environment Group were engaged to carry out the Integrated Water Cycle Management Plan for the development, which included water demand for the pools, irrigation and facilities such as food services and toilets in the park.

Bluewater Development

As Flood Mitigation Consultants Brown Consulting joined the Bluewater project team  (lead by Flanagan Consulting) to help develop an optimal flood mitigating solution for the Master Planning of the Bluewater Development located at Moores Gully North Queensland.

After being involved with the project for more than five years, the team’s innovative work was recognised with the project recently named the Engineers Australia, Cairns Project of the Year for 2010.

Fabcot Pty Ltd, a subsidiary of Woolworths Pty Ltd is developing a new Supermarket at Fairfield Heights. The development is of a Brown Field site and will see the entire site excavated to allow underground parking.  Brown Consulting has carried out the Stormwater Drainage, Onsite Detention to meet Fairfield Councils flooding requirements, Erosion and Sediment control and Earthworks Design for the development to accompany the Development Application to council.

Brown Consulting has been appointed Technical Advisor to the Final Detailed Design of the Port Moresby Sewerage Scheme. This work encompasses the verification of the civil, hydraulic and process design for a 18.4ML/day Sewage Treatment Plant including 35km of sewerage trunk and reticulation mains, 17 pump stations, ocean outfall and mechancial dewatering equipment.
