Brown Consulting's Melbourne office was awarded the UDIA 2011 Victorian Consultant of the Year for its work at Settlers Run. In conjunction with developer, Medallist, Brown Consulting undertook comprehensive analysis and stormwater modelling for the Award-winning Settlers Run Project. (Settlers Run also won the Integrated Water Management Award). Analysis and modelling included assessment of the size of water storage bodies, vegetated wetlands, hydraulic structures and control devices required. Brown also analysed the impact of rainwater tanks on each property, calculated of overall volume of run-off and the discharge patterns from the site into the surrounding drainage schemes. Brown Consulting also worked on the Valley Lake Project by developer, Places Victoria, which won the Urban Renewal award.
