Chairman
Laurie Rose BE (Hons) M Eng Sc FIEAust CPEng
Laurie has worked in the urban development industry for 35 years.
Before becoming a Director of Brown, Laurie had been director of
his own company Rose Consulting Group for more than 24 years. As
a member of numerous boards and councils relating to the industry,
Laurie’s opinion is highly valued and his relationships with numerous
senior government officers, politicians local government councillors,
etc play a vital role in promoting Brown’s services. An industry
leader, he is a Councillor, past President and Life member of UDIA
NSW. Laurie is currently President of the Planning Research Centre
of Sydney University.
Managing
Director
Gary Spence MAppL MBA FDIA OFIEAust FAICD
Gary Spence has been a Director of Brown since 1993 and was formally
Regional Manager - Queensland prior to his appointment as Managing
Director in 2001. He has over 20 years experience in the management
of multidisciplinary projects throughout Australia, with a particular
emphasis in Urban Development. Holding post-graduate qualifications
in both Law and Business Administration, Gary has a special interest
in Town Planning, Construction and Dispute Resolution.
Anthony
Spencer BE MIEAust CPEng
Tony joined the Melbourne office in 1985 and was appointed Director
in 1999. He is Regional Manager - Victoria and heads the structural
division. Tonys' areas of expertise are in the management, design,
and site liaison of structural engineering aspects of industrial,
medical, commercial and recreational buildings. He also acts as
a project manager for major industrial clients where he is responsible
for the delivery process of new buildings and other associated projects.
Gary
D Wyatt BE MIEAust CPEng
Gary Wyatt is the Regional Manager responsible for Brown’s operations
in the South-East Asia region. In 1993 he established the Singapore
office and has been resident there since that time. More recently
he has been involved with the establishment of the Brunei office.
He has over 25 years experience as a consulting engineer, with particular
interest and skills in the design of precast concrete structures
and solutions for cost-effective construction of buildings and other
structures.
Don
Di Placido B Ec ACA
Don is a chartered accountant with over 25 years experience dealing
with small to medium size businesses. He is the managing partner
of the Canberra based accounting, tax and business advisory firm,
Accrue Chartered Accountants. Don specialises in corporate structuring,
business and tax consulting and advises Brown Consulting on business
and taxation issues affecting the company and its employees. Don
was elected to the Board in September 2006 as the company's first
non-executive Director.
Jeff
Griffiths BE RPEQ
Jeff has over 21 years experience in urban development and related
fields, including major earthworks projects, marine development,
resort and golf course projects and major residential estates. He
has extensive knowledge of both the design and construction of civil
works and as such, his involvement in projects begins at the planning
stage and continues through to construction completion. Jeff is
the Regional Manager – Queensland.
Tass Palios BE (Civil), Grad Dip Civil Eng. Construction
Tass Palios heads the land development group in Victoria with over 22 years of professional experience in the design and project management of municipal and land subdivision projects and associated infrastructure.
Tass maintains a close liaison with clients and oversees all projects from the conceptual design phase through to completion of construction.
Tass has particular experience in project facilitation, site master planning and forecasting and the identification of engineering constraints and opportunities for major works projects.
