Projects
Brown Consulting has developed an enviable reputation for providing
innovative services to private and government clients on all aspects of water
cycle management and protection and enhancement of the environment. Our projects
include survey design and management of floodways, creek rehabilitation and restorations, wetlands, water
harvesting, water quality control facilities and retarding basins. Water
sensitive urban design principles are applied in our stormwater drainage designs
and flood management strategies. We use leading edge software for hydrological
analysis and flood modelling (ILSAX and DRAINS were developed by one of our
senior staff) We actively collaborate with landscape architects, wetlands
specialists, fluvial geomorphologists, planners and other specialists to deliver
a total stormwater and environmental management solutions to all our clients.
Sydney South West Growth Centre – Oran Park, NSW
Brown Consulting has been involved in supporting the development of the Sydney South West Growth Centre, including support for a Structure Precinct Plan at Oran Park.

Supporting Safety and Development Along Pacific Highway, NSW
Brown Consulting developed the first ever integrated detailed flood model for the Richmond River floodplain – the second largest floodplain in Northern New South Wales.

Pitt Town Stormwater Master Plan
Brown Consulting (NSW) has been retained to provide stormwater management advice to the Johnson Property Group, which is seeking to rezone and develop its land holdings at Pitt Town. We have prepared a Stormwater Master Plan, which addresses both quantity and quality issues, and have provided ongoing advice on the infrastructure needed to service the area.

Harben Vale Detention Basin
A detention basin and wetland was required for a rural residential subdivision to reduce flood flows downstream and to provide stormwater treatment.

University of Sunshine Coast Translocation Project, QLD
Brown Consulting is to manage the successful translocation of 15 hectares of native vegetation including rare and threatened plant species from Bundilla to the University of the Sunshine Coast.
